Locate the 18 mm (11/16 inch) lock nut on the bottom of the transmission filter. This is located in opening which became visible when you removed the drain pan. Remove the lock nut using 18 mm (11/16 inch) box end socket. Pull the filter down to remove it. Install a new filter by sliding it into the filter port. Tighten the lock nut until it is Ford Models ; Ford Focus Club ; Oil Filter Location - Focus mk3 2012 2.0 TDCI 140 Engine Oil Filter Location - Focus mk3 2012 2.0 TDCI 140 Engine
Hi guys, I've just changed my filter and now my car wont start, I'm thinking its probaby got air trapped somewher in there, and the filter line are not getting any fuel to them, tdci 1.6 sport please help as I'm so desperate to be on the road.

Hi all just to let you know had a new ford fuel filter fitted when mechanic changed them over the non genuine filter seal was a bad fit very loose worse than the ford one! and seal was under the filter instead of on top to make a good seal, cars run great now no problems over a week now and 800 miles. Will fit a genuine every time now.

I'm going to be installing an oil temperature sensor on my 1.6 tdci and I'm wondering if anyone has either A, done it before, B has an idea where is best to put it. Due to the filter used I cant use a sandwich plate unless anyone knows how to convert it to a cartridge filter and I don't want to place anything in line with the turbo
Posted January 14, 2019. I was looking to purchase a 2012 focus 1.6 diesel with 25k miles on the clock. On examining the engine bay, I noticed some oil around the concertina intake between the air filter and the turbo. On removing the intake pipe, there was about 15ml of oil in the pipe. I assume that the oil came from the rocker cover breather.

Hi there , here you go , remove the link pipe from the turbo to air box 2x 7 mm clips, remove air filter cover screws 3 x 8 mm screws, remove air filter, remove the lower air filter box, there is a strap at the front holdings in place , give it a pull and remove it , just move it to the side
