The hood and fenders are the same. If I keep the eos I am going to do the light swap. Will keep you guys updated! Using new parts from the dealer would cost around $3k, but used can be done much cheaper! Hardest part seems to be the wiring layout was changed on the facelift headlights.

HID stands for high-intensity discharge, which simply means that the bulbs are brighter than standard headlights. An HID headlight is assembled with two tungsten electrodes enclosed in a glass housing. The glass housing is filled with xenon gas and metal salts, usually sodium and mercury.

Procedure to install OEM HID xenon headlights on VW Jetta TDI or similar mk5 car. Remove the front bumper. See 1000q: how to remove the front bumper on VW Jetta for details. Unclip the headlight plugs and remove the headlights. Many VW plugs are released by pressing on a tab.

1-remove bumper grill. 2-remove front fender liner (the forward/front pieces) 3-remove bumper cover. 4-remove headlight assembly (s) (which now I can replace the stock Bi-Xenon bulbs) I also found here on PW the technical note about the wiring harness issue. Will check that too I guess.
